Beginning to End Software 2020 - Provo - 03-26 Trapunto and Shadow Work

The hand technique of Trapunto, comes from the Italian for "to quilt." It’s a method of quilting that is also called "stuffed technique." A puffy, decorative feature, trapunto utilizes at least two layers, the underside of which is slit and padded, producing a raised surface on the fabric.  This method can be

duplicated with Embroidery Software and done on an Embroidery Machine.

The stuffed part of the design is created with the raised satin stitch. Then the second layer of fabric is stitched down over the raised satin stitch doing the outline. This technique will also make it possible to Shadow Work with the Artista Software.
