Apparently, the Lady of the Lake Quilt Block was named after a poem by Sir Walter Scott that was published in 1810. The pioneer men and women loved the tales of Sir Walter Scott, and the women honored him by naming a patchwork block after the poem. I’ve recently become interested in learning about the history of quilt block/design. Lady of the Lake is a great project for mastering HST, and, with the help of the Creative Grids Half-Square 4-in-1 trimmer ruler, your blocks will be precise. Made with two colors, this is a stunning quilt.
